Unit Six: Issues in Economics Today
1. Took Chapter 18 Quiz. Go over the expectations for the debates on selected topics in economics today: preparation by reading and Marking the Text (circling key ideas, underlining main ideas or claims of the author, and writing questions that arise while reading) ahead of the debate day, completing a Clarifying and Summarizing worksheet for at least one (1) article from each packet, take notes during the discussion, completing a self-evaluation, and writing a one-page reflective essay for each topic discussed. Prepare for the Socratic Seminar on the economics of capital punishment tomorrow by reading the assigned articles, taking notes, and completing a Clarifying and Summarizing worksheet .
