Unit Eight: New Ideas from Dead Economists
1. Introduction to book by Todd Buccholz, New Ideas from Dead Economists, which traces the intellectual history of economic thought from Adam Smith to the modern day. We will be reading about some of the leading economists and discussing them in class. Assigned books to students, and began to read the book as a class by reading the Introduction (Chapter 1). Assignment: Read Chapter 2: "The Second Coming of Adam Smith" by tomorrow, taking notes in notebooks while reading. Complete a Checking for Understanding worksheet, which will be due on 4 January 2016. [5/17]
